We are proud to host the Louisiana Mosquito Festival Pageant, a new, special tradition that further celebrates our community, our families, and the wonderful young people who make this event so memorable.
Our pageant is about more than crowns and titles. It’s an opportunity for contestants to build confidence, make lasting memories, and enjoy an experience filled with encouragement, friendship, and Louisiana spirit. We are honored to support an event that brings families and our community together year after year.
The 2026 Louisiana Mosquito Festival Pageant has officially come to a close, and we are so proud of everyone who participated. Congratulations to all of the contestants and titleholders, and thank you to the families, volunteers, and community members who helped make this year’s pageant such a wonderful success.

My name is Teisha Maturin Richard. I am 53 years old and was married for 22 1/2 years to my now late husband, Chad Richard.
Chad and I have 3 daughters; Andre’, Ramie and Lorin. A fun fact about me is 2 of my children are Twins! I have 3 grandchildren, Evelyn, Emmi and Jai. I have worked in the Oilfield Industry for 30+ years, with 20 of those years, as the Office Manager, for a Directional Drilling Company.
I am currently employed as an Accounting Specialist with the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. In my spare time, I enjoy horseback riding, corvette cruising, traveling and visiting new cities, working in my flowerbeds, and being the best “Gi-Gi” ever to my grandbabies. My absolute favorite title I have held is: “MOM”!
I can not wait to proudly represent my hometown of Cankton, Louisiana, the Coulee Croche Volunteer Firefighters and the Louisiana Mosquito Festival!

Hello, I'm Morgan Wangler, your inaugural 2026 Louisiana Mosquito Festival Queen.
I'm 23 and from the Cankton/Carencro area. I work in Human Resources and was a first generation college graduate from the University of Louisiana-Lafayette, Class of Dec. 2024.
In my free time, I enjoy pageants, colorguard, spoiling my three nieces, traveling as a title holder and making my house a home. Fun Fact about me is I officiate high school football with my dad and brother!

My name is Avery Branch, and I am honored to be your 2026 Junior Miss Louisiana Mosquito Festival Queen! I’m 12 years old and from Franklinton, Louisiana.
I enjoy playing spending time with my family and friends, playing sports especially as a starter for my junior high basketball team, shopping, and traveling. I love seeing the state of Louisiana through the eyes of a festival queen while celebrating the rich culture our state has. When I grow up I wish to go into the medical field, specifically radiology.
Being part of the Louisiana Mosquito Festival royalty is such a special opportunity for me. I’m excited to represent the festival, meet new people, support the community, and make memories that I’ll treasure for years to come.

My name is Makenzie Mathis. I am 15 years old and a resident of Scott Louisiana. I attend Acadiana High School were I have earned the privilege of serving as our Junior Varsity cheer captain, competing in track, participating in National Beta Club, NJROTC, and growing my faith in the lord through our School Club Rams for Christ.
After graduation I plan to serve in the United States Army before pursuing my dream of becoming an oncologist.
When I'm not at school I enjoy learning new languages, writing poetry that speaks to the heart, and serving the less fortune alongside my mother during weekends. I plan to represent our mosquito festival with pride and purpose helping it become a rememberable tradition showcasing our community’s service, creativity, and unity.
My name is Jillian Boudreaux, and I am honored to be your 2026 Deb Miss Louisiana Mosquito Festival Queen! I am 9 years old and from Berwick, Louisiana.
I enjoy spending time with my family, playing softball, volleyball, and dancing. Also, in my free time I enjoy spending time with my friends, reading books, and playing with my dog, Snowball.
I am excited to travel around Louisiana while representing the Mosquito Festival, meeting new people, and making lots of memories.
My name is Autumn Elizabeth Barrios I am 6 years old I’m from Gueydan Louisiana my parents are K’Lynn Trahan and William Barrios.
I enjoy spending time with my family and friends; my hobbies are shopping, camping , and of course going to the beach . I’m interested in doing pageants, cheer, softball, basketball, and going to school.
I accomplished stepping out my comfort zone and doing pageants. My goal is to graduate high school and college and becoming a doctor as a medical specialists to take care of special needs.
I also want to share with others if you want to do something and you’re afraid, just keep pushing and never give up.

I love to cheer and play tennis. I try to help our community any way I can. I also like pageants, swimming and riding my bike. I want to be a vet when I grow up to help animals feel better and build houses for homeless people.
