The Coulee Croche Firefighters Association was established in 2019 and is registered as a 501(c)(3) and 509(a)(2) non profit organization dedicated to improving the volunteer firefighting experience of the Coulee Croche Fire District 4 Department.
Funds raised from this event will be used to improve volunteer experience, recruiting, training, and retention.

The fire district is named after its meaning.
In the day, the First Chief was George Savoie. Following Savoie, Ervin Menard served for over 20 years. After Ervin hung his hat, Jason Menard, his son, took the reigns in 2025.
The coverage area is 50 square miles of the southern portion of St Landry parish .
